Hi there! I’m Leah, the new host and co-producer of Bridechilla, and I’m excited to help you plan and navigate your wedding day! Here’s a little background on me:
I have been the host and producer of the wedding podcast Weddings Unveiled with Leah, the producer of Tales From Behind the Veil and the new Patrice Catan Designs podcasts. I’ve been a bridesmaid consultant at Catan Bridal, a flower girl, a city hall witness, x3 bridesmaid, and have been honored to be a guest at dozens of weddings in my life. I also planned my own wedding in 2019, though I am now divorced (picked the wrong guy, gave him the wrong finger). But I still strongly believe in love and marriage!
Since a young age I have studied wedding magazines and books, and my not-so-guilty pleasure is watching marathons of Say Yes to the Dress (from every season and every country!)
I live in the home of Rock n’ Roll – Cleveland, Ohio and I have 20 years experience working in media and live entertainment. As a Senior Producer at Evergreen Podcasts I have produced 11 different podcasts ranging from Banking to Bridal, and I absolutely love it!
Stuff I Like… aka Leah ‘facts’
- Booze: My drink of choice is wine, especially Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc, or a dirty vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives
- Workout: I love to dance, play volleyball, tennis, and go for long walks. My half marathon days are done (for real this time!).
- TV: Friends. I truly believe there is an episode for anything that happens in life. It’s the BEST.
- Books: Fahrenheit 451, Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm. I also love Tina Fey’s Bossy Pants, How To Make A Marriage Work by Marlo Thomas and Phil Donohue, and Attached by Amir Levine and Rachel S.F. Heller, M.A.
- Make-up: Maybe I was born with it, but really it’s Maybelline! I’ve been wearing the Great Lash curved brush in Blackest Black for decades. Current fav lipstick sahdes (again, all Maybelline) are Touch of Spice (660), Rum Riche (280), and Plum Paradise (425).
- My happy place is chillin’ at the beach or frolicking around the city discovering new food and cocktails with my loved ones.
- When I was a little girl all of my friends wanted to play teacher or doctor, meanwhile I turned them into my interview subjects and played TV Host or Reporter. I’ve always wanted to be the next Oprah, Katie Couric, or MTV VJ. Murphy Brown was (and still is) one of my biggest Sheroes!
I’m excited to get to know you and help you along the way as you embark on the crazy fun journey that is wedding planning!
A HUGE THANK YOU to the OG Chilla, Aleisha, for creating Bridechilla and its community, and for giving her blessing to me taking the hosting reins on this new chapter for the show!
Aside from Bridechilla, you can see my adventures by following me at @ClevelandLeah on social media.

Where To Listen To The Bridechilla Podcast
Meet Bridechilla Founder: Aleisha

I’m Aleisha, founder and host of the Bridechilla Podcast, Facebook Community and author of the Bridechilla Guides. I’m an Aussie but for the past 5 years, I have been living in London with my husband Rich (who’s an architect and my right hand man when it comes to running our business).
By day, I am a TV producer and with every other remaining minute, I run Bridechilla. It’s flattering when people refer to ‘my team’ and Rich and I often laugh about the assumption that there are a bunch of people working to make Bridechilla happen (we wish), when in reality it’s us in our sweat pants at our laptops BUT I wouldn’t have it any other way*.

Dear Aleisha
I am loving your podcast and your humor. I found a hilarious scatch about placing your own wedding rules. Unfortunately it is in German, but since your husband speaks and understands German, I thought I would send you the link:

It is played by some popular German comedians.
Another thing I wanted to tell you is that I love your authenticity. I listen to many podcasts, but rarely do I have the impression that the host shows his real character. I can’t wait to ask you for advice. I am engaged since last October, of course already browsing for nice location. Because we want to explore to world before getting married, there might pass quite some time until we get hitched.
Lots and love from snowy Switzerland
